Rainmatter, an early-stage venture capital business supported by Zerodha, has made a Rs 10 crore investment in each of two companies in an equity funding round. The chosen startups are Boson Whitewater, a water recycling startup, and TruNativ, a nutrition-focused brand.
Boson Whitewater, founded in 2011 by Vikas Brahmavar and Gowthaman Desingh, aims to become the third source of water, in addition to municipal water. The company manufactures water softeners, industrial water treatment systems, and the Water Recovery Boson Whitewater system, which helps in recovering drinkable water from STP treated wastewater for IT parks, shopping centers, businesses, and residential buildings.
TruNativ, founded in 2019 by Pranav and Mamta Malhotra and based in Mumbai, offers nutrient-dense and healthful food options. Their focus is on providing environmentally friendly products. TruNativ sells its goods on its website and various other e-commerce platforms.
In April 2021, TruNativ raised an unknown sum in a seed investment round, while Bengaluru-based Bosan Whitewater raised Rs 3.45 crore in February 2022 in a funding round headed by IAN (Indian Angel Network) and others.
