Nazara Technologies The India’s gaming mammoth is setting up a new record in its attempt to globalize and capture the Fusebox Games, a UK based gaming studio for INR 228 crore. It is an all cash acquisition, which shows how the firm is keen on expanding on its market interests in the interactive storytelling sub sector, considered a growth area.
In its report for the last fiscal, the company that was engaged with a hit game based on a British TV reality show ‘Love Island’ had revealed that the company had grown up massively and was able to make INR 116. 6 crore in terms of revenue throughout, with the month of January and February of the first quarter of the financial year 2024 seperateely generating a revenue of 75 lac, March 2024 earning 1 crore 50 lac, April 2024 earning 1 crore 76 lac, all five months of the year May 2024-August 2024 earning 2 crore 15 lac, January 2024-September Fusebox’s surge is viewed by Nitish Mittersain, CEO of Nazara as an opportunity to capitalise on the large population of the Indian market as well as its prowess in data analysis to skyrocket the games firm to greater heights.
It is another prominent acquisition by Nazara following Nextwave Multimedia and Circle of Games stakes. Since the company has been planning to take over the gaming and esports industry, the acquisition of Fusebox will make a lot of difference.
