HCLSoftware, the software division of HCLTech, is bolstering its data analytics portfolio with the acquisition of French company Zeenea. The deal is worth €24m and is expected to close in September 2024.
Zeenea is an intelligent data discovery company and has a platform for metadata management, data cataloging, lineage, governance and compliance. HCLSoftware will combine Zeenea’s technology with its Actian Data Platform to create a single data intelligence solution for enterprises to manage, analyse and get value from their data.
This was a strategic move given that the acquisition supports the company’s HCLSoftware’ s growth strategy of building up its data and analytics operation. It has interestingly seen a consistent growth of its product in the field called Actian Data Platform that provides the feature of hybrid data management and integration. Thus, incorporating Zeenea’s knowledge at HCLSoftware, customers will be able to receive complete data management services that foster data engineering and GenAI projects.
