Edtech Giant’s Troubles Deepen!!
The troubles keep piling up for BYJU’S. The once high-flying edtech startup is now facing a major setback as over 100 of its tuition centres across India have been shut down. Landlords, frustrated by months of unpaid rent and utility bills, have taken drastic action, locking out the company.
The crisis is particularly severe in the eastern and northern parts of the country, where numerous centres have already been forced to close. And the problem is spreading, with landlords in other regions also taking steps to evict BYJU’S.
To add to the company’s woes, it’s also struggling to pay water, electricity, and garbage collection bills for the remaining open centres. With rent and other expenses piling up, the future of these tuition centres looks increasingly bleak.
Clearly, BYJU’S is facing a financial storm that threatens to derail its operations.
